Portrait Paintings
Most of my portrait paintings are painted from photographs of loved ones. I also offer the option to have the subject painted from life, If they are willing to sit and experience what it’s like to have their portait painted.
These portrait paintings are done on acid- free, archival hardboard panels and sealed with multiple coats of varnish, making a treasured heirloom intended to be passed down from one generation to the next.
Technical Information
Portrait paintings are done with professional gouache, using only non-toxic pigments with the highest lightfastness rating on acid free hardboard panels.
The paintings are sealed with UV protective fixative and given a final coat of removable varnish for extra protection which also allows for cleaning by future conservators if needed.
For maximum protection, paintings should not be hung in areas that get direct sunlight.

*Prices are for paintings done on 1/8″ thick panels and must be hung with a frame. Cradled panels are available at an extra cost. Cradled panels do not need a frame and can be hung like traditional canvases.
